What I do
I specialize in the identification and authentication of vintage and contemporary Native American
jewelry. I have studied the second hand market with a focus on social media platforms like Facebook
and Instragram. I have immersed myself in the Native American jewelry communities, selling on these
two platforms and administering multiple niche communities for over 5 years. I have developed a
thorough understanding of the pricing nuances associated with these online selling arenas in both
vintage and contemporary Native American jewelry.
My evaluation generally includes pertinent information such as tribal affiliation, age, materials, and a
short biography on the artist. I try to provide as much information as possible to get a full
understanding of each piece of jewelry.
Why Pick Me
I am a passionate Native American jewelry lover. I have been collecting vintage Native American jewelry
for most of my adult life. My father has been in the antique trade for over 50 years and I have learned
through proxy how to identify and absorb information. I quit my 9-5 job in 2020, and I have completely
dedicated myself to learning about jewelry and selling online. I devote my time to selling and staying on
top of market trends; connecting and building relationships with Native American artists from various
tribes and cultures; visiting Native American jewelry shows in the Southwest; exploring antique
markets and vintage stores on a weekly basis; administrating Facebook niche groups with a focus on
educating users on Native American jewelry; and lastly, cultivating a safe environment in which to buy
and sell jewelry online.
I make the process as easy and fun as possible. I have a quick turn-around time with evaluations and I
consider them to be straightforward and easy to understand. I will include additional information, if
applicable, to help you understand your jewelry so you feel confident selling them (if you desire to do
so). My goal is to make you feel informed and empowered when wearing and sharing your jewelry!
How It Works
Since I am a virtual appraiser, no item(s) need to be sent to me, this is all done via email.
-
Let me know how many items you are wanting evaluated. I will give you my best guess as to how long it will take/how much it will cost. If I am to go significantly over my time estimate, I can alert you, and we can discuss how to proceed.
-
Please take some time to photograph your items. I will need the front and back of individual pieces. If easier, you can do a ‘small group lot’ - up to 5 items per photo - of the front and back. Please make sure the lighting is good and photos are clear so I can provide information to the best of my ability. Clear photos will help reduce ‘back and forth’ between us and eliminate my need to ask questions and or for better photos.
-
I ask that you please email me the photos (vs a message on social media as I receive so many messages I do not want to misplace yours). You are welcome to attach them how you wish, in a zip drive, DropBox, etc.

Please email photos to: SanFranciscoTradingPost@gmail.com
Once I have the email/photos, I will confirm I have received them, and let you know that photos are sufficient for evaluating
I will go through each item and provide information:
- If an item is NOT Native American, I will do my best to provide accurate information and pricing. I am versed in Southwest companies and imports as well.
Your evaluation will be returned back attached in a Google Doc format so you may print it out and refer to it or keep with your collection
My pricing is $150 per hour. Once my evaluation is complete and reviewed, I ask that you send payment based on how many hours, and or I will tell you the charge if a full hour was not met. Please send payment to my preferred platform of PayPal (email JessicaAnnGoodman@gmail.com) or I am flexible and can take Zelle, Check/Money Order, etc.
**** I do NOT do evaluations on: fetish figures, rugs, art, artifacts, pottery, etc
